IT Procurement Manager

Your role and responsibilities
The IT procurement category is one of the most important and challenging procurement categories for Knab. Our IT organization delivers high-quality, available, secure and easy-to-use solutions to enable Knab to rapidly introduce new services for entrepreneurs. During the last couple of years the company has gone through a major strategic IT transformation migrating from on-premises to cloud and SaaS solutions.

As IT Procurement Manager you will be  leading strategic sourcing and vendor management activities and projects for the IT and Security category. The purpose of this role is to implement and execute the procurement strategy, manage the IT supplier base, and support the IT department with both the Knab IT transformation and their own strategy implementation. You will develop and build strong relationships with your supply base to reach best in class results in technology, support the team by driving the Digital Resilience Operational Act (DORA) project implementation, and pilot the newly designed Vendor Management Program implementation.

Furthermore you will:

• Manage strategic/tactical supplier relationships and contracts within the Security, IT and IT consultancy categories;
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of IT & Security categories and procurement landscape;
• Partner up with your stakeholder group on a strategic/tactical level to identify their business needs. You will act as their partner on procurement topics and work together to develop solutions and recommendations;
• Conduct supplier visits, risk assessments, performance reviews, and develop risk management systems;
• Perform contract and procurement negotiations on multi-layered issues through analysis, interpretation, investigation, and research of complex contractual information and advising team leads and IT management on contract interpretation;
• Manage the end to end sourcing process and contract implementation including sourcing, awarding, contracting and monitoring contract and supplier performance through annual health checks and due diligence activities;
• Define and implement Knab’s procure-to-pay roadmap: from tools to process.

The team
The Knab Procurement and Vendor Management team is young, international, ambitious and fun. The department is a part of the wide finance organization and we are looking for a dynamic procurement expert to strengthen collaboration and the vendor management framework within the Knab IT domain.

Your profile
For this role, the ideal candidate will have gained procurement experience within the IT or Professional services area preferably in a financial regulatory environment.

We have the following profile in mind:

• 5-7 years of experience in IT procurement (security infra; SaaS; hardware, cloud services, telecommunication)  or other professional services in a regulated environment;
• Expert knowledge in the procurement landscape and preferred knowledge of security infrastructure, supply chain and IT technology and the main regional players and trends in the market;
• Strategic mindset and the ability to develop effective strategies for supplier selection and management of relationships;
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization;
• Negotiation skills;
• Ability to review IT and Security contracts from a commercial and legal perspective;
• Comfortable working in a fast paced environment where activities are flexible, but where you’ll actively contribute in taking our procurement strategy and vendor management processes to the next level.
