Database Marketeer (Commercial Team)

The role  

For our team that is fully immersed in everything related to commerce, we are looking for a Database Marketeer for our Commercial Team. As our Database Marketeer, you will ensure the campaigns perform in the best way and that data and marketing come together. This means you are the one with the helicopter view, who oversees all campaigns and gives advice to digital marketeers to optimize their campaigns.  

Drawing upon insights from your own analysis or collaborating with your data science colleagues, you will craft well-defined audiences for both existing and new campaigns. Working alongside our data engineers, you will also establish data connections and processes to enhance our current segments. The ultimate objective is to ensure that our communication with customers is more relevant and personal, thereby maximizing the effectiveness of our campaigns. 

 

Your work and responsibilities  

  • Advising on approaching different target groups and using different channels;  
  • Helping to set up new automated campaigns, where your focus is on data and relevance;  
  • Optimizing campaigns by analyzing data and checking where the best performance is (audience/channel);  
  • Enriching the marketing database by adding relevant data sets and improving data quality;  
  • Thinking of and setting up new data connections in close cooperation with our data engineers;  
  • Obtaining and generating useful insights from the marketing database that enable us to be even more specific to customer needs;  

 

Your profile 

We're looking for someone fluent in both Dutch and English, with an entrepreneurial spirit and a passion for building things (we're aiming for Champions League level here! 😉). 

 

To thrive in this role, you should: 

  • Bring at least 3 years of experience as a (Data) Marketing Campaign Specialist, Database Marketeer or CRM Marketeer; 
  • Have that HBO+/WO level of thinking and a practical, results-driven mindset; 
  • Know the ins and outs of building and fine-tuning marketing automation campaigns and selecting customers for owned media campaigns; 
  • Be a pro at data analysis (SQL) and adept at creating dashboards (including Tableau); 
  • Be able to translate insights and objectives seamlessly into campaigns and systems. 
  • Have a solid grasp of relational database models; 
  • Be adept at setting up new data connections and providing guidance and advice in this area. 
  • Possess a keen eye for spotting opportunities within a CRM database, swiftly identifying the analyses to pursue or the new, relevant campaigns to initiate. 
  • Have the capacity to persuade and inspire colleagues through compelling storytelling.

Within Knab we work agile. You are part of a multidisciplinary team. This means that you team up with a Product Owner, Customer Journey Experts and Digital Marketeers. The Database Marketeer has a HR reporting line to the Manager Digital Marketing.
