In a nutshell:

At Knab we like to put an emphasis on learning, growth and development for our employees both personally and professionally. But up until now, we don’t have someone fully focusing on this area. That’s where you come in! We’re looking for someone to help us to level up our performance company wide, through a strong learning & development vision translated in Knab-specific programs. We want to continue to build a goal-oriented culture through effective performance management processes and keep moving toward our teams goal of “Be the best place to work“ every day.

 

Your main responsibilities: 

Learning & development:

  • Analyse what’s already being done at company level, what are the ambitions and what are the needs
  • Maintain close and personal contact with management to understand the different needs within teams
  • Create and develop programs for management, talent and various functions
  • Manage the L&D budget, enrollments and employee training requests
  • Explore, contract and coordinate with external training and development agencies
  • Be our subject matter expert on L&D and advocate for the related strategy and policies.

Performance management:

  • Determine the framework and way of working for goal setting and evaluation
  • Provide advice and guidance on the yearly cycle of objective setting, performance evaluation and employee conversations as well as mid-year evaluations and performance plans
  • Ensure the correct documenting, processing and administration is being done within the HR system
  • Be our subject matter expert on performance management and advocate for the related strategy and policies
  • Identify and coordinate change requirements.

 

The team:

You will sit in the People Team, currently consisting of 8 energetic and ambitious colleagues. You will primarily work with the HR side of the team: Nancy is our HR Manager who oversees Knab's HR strategy, translates it into operations and ensures that every team member has the right tools to perform his/her work as best as possible. Romee and Marcella are our HR Business Partners, they ensure that we all love our work at the end of the day. And Renée and Jarno focus with all their enthusiasm on the operational tasks of the team. On the recruitment side we also have Dorine, Aoife and Victoria who focus their efforts on bringing new, fun people to Knab. In short, a great group of colleagues who will welcome you with open arms!

 

Your profile:

There is no predefined route to become a great Learning & Development Specialist at Knab. But to be successful in this role, this is the kind of profile we have in mind:

  • Comfortable with close, personal contact with management. This is a high visibility role where regular direct contact is important;
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience in HR and/or learning & development;
  • Available for 20-24 hours per week;
  • Previous experience in developing and managing company wide development programs;
  • Experience working with senior management in a similar sized company;
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills;
  • Analytic nature, able to work independently and able to clearly convey your vision to stakeholders;
  • HBO / WO level education or equivalent;
  • Fluent in English verbally and written. Dutch language skills are also strongly preferred.
